Graphic Novel Factory
Factory vs. doing it by hand
Most graphic novels are made with a drawing app plus a lot of careful file management and a page-layout app. Here’s an honest look at where Graphic Novel Factory fits — including what it doesn’t do.
| Task | General drawing apps | Page-layout apps | Graphic Novel Factory |
|---|---|---|---|
| Draw and paint the art | What they're built for. | Not a drawing tool. | You bring the art — the Factory doesn't draw. |
| Keep characters, backgrounds and scenes organized for a whole book | Usually by hand, in folders. | Linked files, organized by hand. | One asset library per project. |
| Arrange panels and pages | Some include comic page tools. | Flexible, but general-purpose. | Panels, pages and spreads, built for comics. |
| Design the cover in the same project | Separate file, sized by hand. | Separate document, sized by hand. | Interior and cover together. |
| Export KDP-ready PDFs with bleed | Possible with careful manual setup. | With manual setup for each book. | Built in. |
| Publish to Amazon for you | You upload the files to your own KDP account. |
So who is it for?
The Factory is for people who already make — or commission — the art, and want the production side of a graphic novel to be organized and repeatable: assets, pages, cover, and print-ready files. Most creators will keep using their favorite drawing app alongside it.
